This is it. 2025 comes to an end with a number of new releases from artists who have decided to bless us for the holidays. A great way to close out what has been an amazing year for independent music.
Amindi releases new EP me rn.
Amindi, the Inglewood-born R&B and soul artist known for her genre-fluid approach and smooth, introspective delivery, has just released her new EP me rn, a five-track snapshot of her current mood and artistic vibe. Since first gaining attention with early hits like Pine & Ginger and building a diverse catalog that spans alternative R&B, hip-hop, and indie influences, Amindi has carved out a unique sonic space rooted in emotional honesty. On me rn, songs like Forget We Ever Met, Letting Me Down and dnd showcase her lyrical depth and evocative production, reflecting a more intimate, in-the-moment creative approach. Described by the artist as a living playlist rather than a traditional project, the EP gives us an update as to the career status of Amindi. With its warm vocals and candid storytelling, me rn marks another compelling chapter in Amindi’s evolving voice within contemporary R&B.

Akeira Jade adds flavor to three of her tracks with The Cine Cut.

Known for blending introspective lyrics with sleek, modern pop and R&B sensibilities, Akeira Jade crafts songs that feel both personal and cinematic. With The Cine Cut, she highlights her vocal warmth and songwriting depth, showcasing a softer, more organic side of her sound. This release adds another layer to her catalog, following recent singles like In House Enemy, and points to an artist comfortable exploring multiple musical textures.
