Vienna Vienna embraces alternative rock style on latest record “Idle Hands”.

Los Angeles-based artist Vienna Vienna is redefining the contours of alternative rock with his self-described glimmer rock sound: a vivid blend of late ’80s/early ’90s electronic textures and the urgency of 2010s indie rock.

This week, Vienna Vienna unleashes his bold new single Idle Hands, a rhythmic powerhouse built on stomping drums, distorted guitars and gleaming synths. Critics hail it as “one of the only songs that blows my baseline out of the water” (Music Scene Media).

Having debuted his signature guitar-driven sound with 2024’s Wonderland EP (via PULSE Records/DCD2), Vienna Vienna now amps up the dynamic, delivering a track designed for both introspective headphone moments and full-volume club nights.

With lyricism that balances sardonic wit and emotional clarity, anchored by the hook “My idle hands keep me occupied all the time / I failed to launch like the rocket man in my mind”, the single marks Vienna Vienna as a fresh voice in modern rock unafraid to embrace catharsis and chaos.
