Serious Klein (born Kelvin Boakye on June 6, 1991) is a German‑Ghanaian rapper and songwriter whose rich fusion of hip‑hop, soul, jazz and trap has earned him acclaim across Europe and beyond. Hailing from Hannover, Germany and raised in the Ruhr region, he began writing music at age 12 and recording by 14, determined from an early age to use his voice. Serious Klein’s music, described by him as “art rap”, blends thoughtful lyricism with lush instrumentation, often tackling identity, ambition and the lived experience of a Black man in Germany.
